Merry Christmas Everyone!

The fun part of doing this Christmas letters is the opportunity to be creative; some years I’m  sentimental, some years traditional and like this year whimsical <LOL>

I hope everyone has had a good year, it has really flown by hasn’t it?  I can’t say mine has been uninteresting or uneventful.  On the job front; I’m still at Hanson (formally Richtex).  There has been a lot of changes there & they have often been stressful.  I have two new bosses and about a dozen new co/workers; long time co/workers are gone.  I’m thankful that I still have a job here and that accounting was moved to SC

On the home front things keep evolving.  I did find the energy to fence the front yard but there is always work to be done.  Seems like one thing gets done and another pops up.  There has been the typical (traditional??) car repairs, new washing machine & that sort of stuff.  I had to break down & purchase a new computer.  I went with a Dell as they had the best deals around and at work mine has been extremely dependable.

The dog scene was pretty successful this year also. I finished championships on Akiba’s Secret Affair “Suzie”, Akiba’s Arctic Blues “Osa” and Benayr Witchie Woman.  Hopefully after this weekend “Tommy” Akiba’s You’ve Got Mail will be finished as he needs just one point.  Webster qualified for the AKC Invitational for the third time and he also make the top five to be invited to Westminster.  He won the group in Myrtle Beach and had several other group placements so he’ll end up in the top ten. A big thrill was winning a group placement at Virginia Kennel Club.  This was the weekend of the Virginia Terrier Club show so the entry was big.  Webster earned over 140 points for a group 4 and he defeated dogs handled by top Terrier handlers!  Webster also won best of breed 3 days out of 4 on Tampa Terrier Club weekend.

After the Garden next year he will retire to be a happy stud dog <BG>

Tommy, his son, will hopefully follow in his paw prints.  I have a couple of promising youngsters for late next year.  I will be showing Mandy & Rom after they turn 6 months in April.  I sold three puppies in show homes (a record for me!)  Akiba’s Southern Belle, Akiba’s Southern Exposure aka “Moonie” and Akiba’s Sixty Minute Man aka “Flash”.  So I’ll have something to play with after the “big man” retires and I’m waiting for Tommy to grow up.

I hope everyone has a Happy Holidays and a Great 2005!  Seems strange to be writing 2005 seems like yesterday we were bringing in 2000, the new millennium and everyone was worrying about Y2K Everyone have a VERY VERY
